First Flight Day Celebration – January 13, 2018
Takes place on the 2nd Saturday of January to commemorate the first powered flight in Fort Worth on January 12, 1911. Activities include presentations and activities for young and old at First Flight Park in Fort Worth in the morning, followed by the Wings Award presentation and reception in the afternoon at the museum. The last Saturday in April we hold this aircraft fly in and craft beer festival with, music, food and fun. Airplane rides are also available. READ MORE

We are partners in the air show Discovery Zone area that presents multiple opportunities for young and old to learn and discover a variety of aviation related activities and experiences.
BroncoFest XI – November 9-12, 2017
Every two years we hold a reunion and gathering for the North American Rockwell OV-10 community. It is a four day event celebrating all things Bronco and includes an awards dinner to recognize members of the museum staff and OV-10 community for their activities and accomplishments. The next gathering will be in 2017. BroncoFest is open to all interested parties.
Group Gaggle – Thirda Saturday of the month at 11:30 AM
Every third Saturday of the month we hold an all hands meeting for volunteers and members to learn about current museum developments and upcoming events. Presentations are often given and a free lunch is served.
We are frequent participants in a variety of parades using our OH-58 Kiowa as a float. Our primary appearances are; Fort Worth’s Veteran’s Day, Gainesville’s Medal of Honor parade and Fort Worth’s holiday Parade of Lights.

The Lone Star Aero Club holds monthly meetings (no meeting scheduled in January each year) has provided lectures and presentation on a variety of aviation related subjects for over twenty years. On January 12, 1911, the first powered flight took place in Fort Worth, Texas at a spot near today’s Montgomery Plaza.
Join us to learn about this historic first and more about North Texas’s rich aviation heritage. The two-hour event features historic exhibits, a presentation by Frontiers of Flights director Bruce Bleakley, fun activities, a helium balloon launch, and refreshments. All FREE!
