Aviation in Art

Aviation has long been a subject for artists and photographers. The Fort Worth Aviation Museum has an extensive collection of aviation art dating back to the 1940s and continuing through today. Our 200+ pieces are too many to display in our galleries, so in addition to the ones n storage, over 100 works are on display at Tarrant County College’s aviation technology center at Alliance Airport.

In addition to these traditional media, we have conducted night photography events and are host to Imagination Fort Worth’s “Photography In Flight” program. That program brings local middle and high school fine arts students to the museum to use our aircraft as the subject for photography under the instruction of local aviation photographers.
