Thank you for considering the Fort Worth Aviation Museum as a unique setting for your special event. Our venue provides only outdoor space at this time, with no alternate indoor venue space. However, as our aircraft are all outdoors your guests will enjoy an unforgettable experience as they mingle among pieces of aviation history.
We can seat up to 150 guests with a center aisle for an outdoor wedding ceremony. We can accommodate up to 300 guests (maximum capacity) for an outdoor cocktail reception or 100 guests for an outdoor seated dinner.
Here is our 2022-2023 pricing:
First Hour (one hour minimum): $1000
Each additional hour (four hour maximum): $500
In order to officially book a date, we require a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 and a signed rental contract. The balance is due no later than two weeks before the day of the event.
All catering and furniture rentals (chairs, tables, tents, etc.) need to be booked by the client. You may use any caterer/vendor of your choice, as long as they are licensed and insured in the state of Texas. All first-time vendors must schedule a walkthrough with museum staff before the event.
The rental fees above include the venue space, one museum staff person to oversee the museum collection. The onsite museum staff does not serve as an event planner for the client. Clients need to designate one person to act as their event planner and provide the museum with their contact information.
Rental fees are tax-deductible as the Fort Worth Aviation Museum is a non-profit organization.
We include two hours prior to event start time for set-up and decorating, and one hour post event end time for clean-up and load out. If the space is not adequately cleaned per contract specifications a cleaning fee of up to $750 dollars can be charged to the client.
The indoor exhibit is open during private events for you and your guests to enjoy, although no docent will be present. There are also restrooms located in the exhibit building.
There is not a kitchen onsite. A licensed bartender must handle and serve all alcoholic beverages.
A 30-minute ceremony rehearsal is included. Rehearsals can be scheduled one month prior to the event and timing will depend on museum availability.
Events must begin after 4pm and end by 10pm. Cleanup must be completed by 11pm.
Restrictions: We do not allow glitter, confetti, rice, feathers, or drone photography. No open flames. Candles are permitted outdoors but must be in a container (glass or lantern). LED candles are encouraged.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Animals must be pre-approved by the museum and kept outdoors with a handler at all times. No exceptions.
There is a designated smoking area guests must use.
Museum Staff are available for site visits by appointment only.
Aircraft acquisition at the FWAM museum starts with our collection policy. When a potential aircraft acquisition is brought to our attention, we look to our collection policy to determine the aircraft’s suitability for addition to the collection. If an aircraft meets the collection policy, we can start to consider leading up to restoration in the maintenance of the airframes. The key to a successful acquisition is planning. All aspects of acquiring an aircraft have cost considerations that need to be determined and funded before any action items occur. We move through project planning, fundraising, and finally, we schedule and execute delivery. Each aircraft is different, but we have found this process to work for us over the years.
