BT-13 Valiant

Little information exists on the history of this Vultee BT-13. The aircraft was used in parades by the ROTC at the University of North Texas in Denton. The aircraft is on loan from the City of Fort Worth via the Historic Aviation Preservation Project (HAPP). The aircraft appears to be Vultee c/n 8408. It may actually be an SNV which was a Navy version of the BT-13/BT-15 trainer from World War Two. This is the oldest aircraft in the collection. Locally, BTs were seen all around North Texas during World War Two as a pilot training aircraft. They represented the intermediate or basic trainer for pilots.

Valiant WW II trainer is due for vertical and horizontal tail covering. Exposed wing will be closed up with plexiglass for viewing. New tires will be added, and a freshen up wash to luster up some fading to be done. Looking for sponsorship on this aircraft.
